The Mid Lancs Badminton League was born in 1972 from the merging of the Preston and Chorley district areas.
With over 55 years of strong competitive badminton, the league is often seen as the one of the best leagues to play in the Lancashire area.

Our History
The Mid Lancashire Badminton League has been running for over 50 years, bringing together clubs from across the Preston, Blackpool, and surrounding areas.
We provide competitive league badminton for players of all standards, from social club players right through to county-level competitors. Our season runs September through to May each year.

The league is run by a dedicated volunteer committee who give their time to organise divisions, fixtures, events, and much more.
From scheduling hundreds of matches each season to running AGMs, dinner dances, and presentation evenings — our committee keeps the league running smoothly so that clubs and players can focus on what matters: playing badminton.
